Huawei P30 Pro Rewrite The Rules

On Friday, Huawei released the P30 and P30 Pro in Paris! I would have LOVED to go (wasn’t even invited lel), but being at university and the other side of the world calls for the next best thing, which is a beautiful three-course meal at the number one restaurant in New Zealand, The French Cafe by Sidart.

That’s where Huawei New Zealand invited their marketing team and us KOL’s to receive and try out the new phones! (excitement level, 5000!). I felt so spoilt and so grateful with the whole experience. After being welcomed by the national marketing manager, (YASS LILI QUEEN) we were then presented with all the exciting new features that the phones had. It didn’t take long for us all to grab our phones and trial the features, after hearing that there was even the capability to zoom x50 times and capture the moon!

Looking back on the footage I got for my vlog, I honestly felt it was so nice to bond with the Huawei team and other bloggers for the new year, as most of the time we’re always just so busy! Being around the same sort of energy that you emit yourself, and wanting to maintain and protect that is one of my highest priorities of the year, so that was a really nice feeling.

I was also so happy to see that I was gifted the colour I hoped for, which is the Breathing Crystal! It is so beautiful that it reminds me of a cross between unicorns as well as Narnia, for some reason haha.

Sooo here are some cold, hard facts you gotta know! The Huawei P30 Pro has extraordinary telephoto photography and videography because of their Leica Quad camera system which offers 40 megapixels (helloooooo quality!).

They have a new shnazzy wee thing called the Huawei Time of Flight camera which means it uses infrared light (lasers invisible to human eyes) to determine depth information – a bit like how a bat senses it surroundings. The sensor emits a light signal, which hits the subject and returns to the sensor. The time it takes to bounce back is then measured and provides depth-mapping capabilities. Crazy right?!

It also comes with a whopping ultra large 4200 mAh battery which has a 40W Super Charge so that means it’ll basically charge reaaaaally fast and last suuuuuuper long. Which, as a travel blogger, I need big time because a power bank really just adds more to whatever gear I’m already carrying for the day! And yep, it comes in three different colours – breathing crystal, aurora and black. Um, get the breathing crystal so we can match you hear! 😛

Also, as a part of being a #HuaweiPartner I also made my first ever unboxing video of the Huawei P30 Pro, which took me ages and ages to make, so please check it out here and lmk what you think!

Thank you so much Huawei for always being such an incredible brand firstly, and also for being an incredible brand to work with. I feel honoured to be a part of this family <3
