This post is sponsored by Sony New Zealand for the Sony WH-1000XM3, but as always, any opinions and sass are my own.
Okay so the coolest thing just happened today! Sony invited us girls to Kawau Island via helicopter to try out their brand new Sony WH-1000XM3 noise-cancelling headphones. This came in so handy because I recently started relying on lecture recordings (lellllll, slap my hand) and needed really good headphones/earphones to use when editing videos for my new Youtube channel. And honestly speaking, I could not think of a better way to test out headphone capabilities than a luxurious helicopter ride, amiriiiiite?
First we were briefed by James from the Sony team on the Sony headphones. They are designed to take us even deeper into silence with further improvements to their industry-leading noise cancellation feature. Other features include smart listening that adjusts to your situation, and the option of ambient sound control.
Afterwards we hopped into the Heletranz helicopter with our headphones synced to our phones so that we could listen to our own music the entire way there. It. was. brilliant. The Unique Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing delivers optimal sound at high altitude, so we couldn’t hear a thing! And instead, got to enjoy our beats and look out at the incredible beauty that is New Zealand.
For the jet-setters out there, a bonus is that the headphones also come with an aeroplane audio adapter. So you can use and connect these with the airline’s entertainment tech instead of the ones your airline provides! And it even has a huge 30 hours of battery life, so you’ll have enough juice for a direct flight from Auckland to Chicago! Or if you’re
lazy in a hurry, you can get 5 hours’ worth of charge after just 10 minutes. (I’ll admit I did this for the helicopter ride, woops!)
1145AM – 1530PM
The helicopter then landed on a jetty – YES. You read right, a JETTY. (I still can’t believe it and now I want to be a pilot, HELLO!) and we got straight to taking pics for the gram (yass kweeeen) before heading to the Beach House for lunch. There we shared the most delicious seafood and dessert platters, and caught up on each others lives over wine and champagne.
I definitely recommend ya’ll to ring up the gals and do this too. Cuz I’m still buzzing over the beautiful, sunny weather today and the destination. Kawau Island is a stunner and I really hope to visit again! If you’re interested, you can score the latest Sony headphones for a cool $398.00 NZD. Thank you Sony New Zealand for such a fun day out and always being a fun brand partner to work with. xx
